first born theatre
bringing the next generation of theatre to life
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Seeking 3-5 emerging playwrights and 1 emerging dramaturg to participate in a 4-month writing roundtable that will culminate in a public new works showing.
The Playwriting Roundtable’s goal is to foster creativity, mutual support, and shared growth among passionate emerging artists. Together, we'll cultivate a fun space where playwrights and dramaturgs elevate each other, refine their craft, and challenge theatrical traditions.
As playwrights, it can be tough to sit down and finish a piece of work, so we aim to create a space where we can push each other to be the best working artists we can be. We hope to inspire and be inspired by other emerging artists through the joys of art-making.
